North Carolina A&T State University and Fayetteville State University had their homecoming week at the same time and guess what? TEM was there for both. Team leaders who had the responsibility of making all of these events work were Bryant Elliott, Joy Harley, Boo Neely, Adiesa Smith, James Russell, and Everette Meadows. The team split up to have a week of success in two different cities.

CEO Sam Hamlin was the production manager for all of the homecoming events in both cities. North Carolina A&T State University’s homecoming events included the Comedy Show, the Step Show, the Alumni Concert, the After-Dark Concert, the football Game, the Hip Hop Concert, and Gospel Concert. Fayetteville State’s homecoming events included the coronation, the Hip-Hop Concert, and the Step show.

Technical Event Management provided turnkey services for all of the events in both cities. People traveled from near and far to have a successful Homecoming weekend. Our subsidiary company, TEM Video, provided video services for most of the North Carolina A&T State University homecoming events, which included the Alumni Concert, the After-Dark Concert, the Hip-Hop Concert, and the exciting nail biting football game.

Tone-X hosted the “Aggie Comedy show”, with performances by Sommore and Cedric the Entertainer.

The production of this particular show included staging, backline, graphics, audio, and lighting. We also had one HD camera shooting the show for the screens. Our two-man crew included graphics and camera operators.

The “Alumni Concert” was at the Koury Convention Center where The O’Jays performed.

The “Alumni Concert” was a turnkey event, which provided backline, video, production management, audio and lighting. Our ten-man crew teamed together to make this a tremendously successful fundraising event.

The “After Dark Concert” had performances by, Guy, Toni Tony Tone, and Bell Biv Devoe.

This also was a turnkey event including staging. The challenge was set for a fifteen-man crew providing services for three different artists and their bands. Boy, did they sleep well that night!

The “Hip-Hop Concert” had a few changes due to one of the artist being involved in a bad car accident. Fetty Wap had to be substituted for Shy Glizzy, and the show never missed a beat. The rest of the lineup included Young Dro, Rae Sremmurd, Wale, and Future.

This was our premiere event for the “Greatest Homecoming on Earth” experience. The lighting, video, and audio were simply dynamic.  An audience of 13,000 screaming fans took in all the sights and sounds that the show provided. Our jib crane, multiple video screens, and thunderous audio system matched the expectations of the enthusiastic crowd.

The Festival of Praise Gospel Show was a great way to end homecoming weekend with performances by Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Kim Burrell, and Hezekiah Walker.

TEM’s responsibility was to provide the infrastructure for the touring show. If you would like to see more photos from these various homecoming events, please follow us on all our social media outlets.
